Draft of DNC 2024 Platform champions abortion and seeks to protect the transgender industry, but fails to mention ‘God’ or ‘Christian’
The Democratic National Convention is set to nominate Kamala Harris for president next week – raising questions about the party’s 2024 platform.
The draft, released on July 13, aims to nationalize abortion-on-demand across all 50 states, support taxpayer-funded abortion, protect the transgender industry, and fight against parents who keep pornography out of their children’s school libraries, LifeNews.com reported.
The platform emphasizes abortion and extreme gender ideology, with the term “abortion” mentioned 13 times, reproductive rights 14 times, LGBTQI+ 35 times, and climate change more than 70 times.
However, the platform does not mention “God” or “Christian.”

The draft, written under the assumption that Joe Biden would be the presidential nominee, states that with a Democratic Congress, national legislation to make Roe v. Wade the law of the land again will be passed, the Hyde Amendment repealed, and President Biden will continue to support access to FDA-approved medication abortion, reported LifeNews.com. The document also highlights the Biden-Harris administration’s executive branch actions to distribute abortion pills in local pharmacies and compelling taxpayers to fund abortions for enlisted military women and veterans.
