Gallup: Trump and Harris nearly tied in favorability with 47 days left before the Nov. 5 election
With 47 days left before the Nov. 5 election, Gallup has released a poll with former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris neck and neck with favorable ratings of 46% and 44% respectively.
Additionally, the Real Clear Politics average of dozens of national polls indicates the race between Trump and Harris is a statistical dead heat.
Trump’s unfavorable rating is seven percentage points higher than his favorable score, and Harris’ is 10 points higher.
In six consecutive presidential cycles starting in 1992, at least one of the candidates, and often both, received positive ratings from a majority of Americans in September of the election year and up until the election, according to Gallup. Since 2016, less than half of U.S. adults have rated the candidates positively in the summer and fall of the election year.
Trump’s favorability has increased five points since June, while Harris's has moderated.
