If the two presidential debates prove anything it is the progressive left isn’t fit to govern the United States
Analysis
OK, let’s clear the air. Former President Donald Trump was embarrassed by feel-good challenger Vice President Kamala Harris in the only presidential debate, and Tim Walz, her running mate, took Trump’s sidekick J.D. Vance to the woodshed in the one (and presumedly only) vice presidential debate last night.
That’s at least what the mainstream media would want us to think, or is it?
While the media generally had Harris’ back in the presidential debate with multiple fact checks of Trump but none of her, it quickly called her performance strong against Trump – which is debatable – but the same deference wasn’t extended to Walz by the same media.
The Politico staff offered this evaluation:
“J.D. Vance not only was polished, but offered a more cutting critique of Kamala Harris than his running mate, Donald Trump, managed in his own debate with her last month. Tim Walz, on the other hand, took a while to warm up – and wasn’t that great even when he did.”
While Trump exhibited confidence in the presidential debate with Harris, who held her own with help from ABC’s moderators, it was evident from the get-go that Vance was going to mop the floor with Waltz, who Rachel Maddow of MSNBC said of Walz, “was over-prepared,” and spun it this way:
“There was one bad moment for Walz in this debate where he got mixed up and embarrassed in answering a question about exactly what month he had been in China in relation to the Tiananmen Square protest. But then on guns, on Jan. 6, on Obamacare, on the economy, on the border, on health care, on abortion – on every issue of substance, Walz won,” said Maddow in an analysis of the debate, adding “Vance was very polished and very slick, and Walz beat him on all the substantive points.”
If I understand correctly, the “substance” Walz offered was to continue to chip away at America’s Second Amendment rights, continue to keep the U.S. border wide open for anyone who would want to enter, and offer abortions anytime, anywhere, and for any reason. OK.
Throughout the debate, Vance appeared confident versus a shaky and uncertain Walz.
Offering a different take on the debate, David Brody of the Christian news outlet CBN News offered this analysis:
“Democrat Vice Presidential Candidate Tim Walz appeared to have opening jitters and misspoke at the outset when asked about the current situation between Iran and Israel. ‘Iran, er Israel's ability to be able to defend itself is absolutely fundamental,’ he said.
“Eventually, he got around to blaming the former president for the current mess in the Middle East. ‘Iran is closer to a nuclear weapon than they were before because of Donald Trump's fickle leadership.’”
And finally, “GOP Presidential Candidate JD Vance turned it around to the ones who are now in charge. "Governor Walz, you blamed Donald Trump,” Vance began. “Who has been the vice president for the last three-and-a-half years? The answer is your running mate. Not mine... Iran, which launched this attack, has received over $100 billion in unfrozen assets thanks to the Kamala Harris administration,” Brody wrote.
The takeaway is that the Biden-Harris Administration has compromised America’s security and weakened our country’s leadership and reputation throughout the world, which is a dangerous place to be as the Middle East continues to spiral out of control.
Trump may turn some people off with his outspoken style, but his Reagan-style policies helped prevent the U.S. from engaging in wars, kept inflation in check, and generally upheld conservative governance.

As a good Baptist, surely lying can’t be an acceptable virtue. Mr. Vance was the better debater, one problem, he was not speaking the truth. We must maintain our conviction over our politics
