Southern Baptist megachurch pastor Jack Graham says Democrats’ Marxist ideology ‘would be the death of America’
Jack Graham, pastor of the more than 40,000-member Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, joined other prominent conservatives this week in criticizing the new Democratic Party ticket of Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
Graham reposted a comment on X/Twitter by Elon Musk about Kamala Harris, adding “Marxist ideology is taking over the democrat party….this would be the death of America.” He also reposted numerous comments by others about Walz and the Minnesota governor’s support of abortion until birth, allowing minors to choose their genders, soft-on-crime policies, and allowing men to have access to girls’ restrooms.

Other high-profile critics of the ticket included Texas Gov. Greg Abbott who posted on X following Harris’s selection of Walz that “a Harris-Walz ticket would be the most radical and dangerous administration in modern history.”
Southern Baptist conservative commentator Allie Beth Stuckey posted on X about the Harris-Walz ticket, “Under them, you’ll be poorer, less safe & less free. But at least they’ll make sure doctors can kill full-term babies.”

I understand the desperate situation that our nation is in as this Marxist movement surges to power. It is a challenge for pastors to discern just where and how they should respond.
But Jack Graham's method embeds his ministry deep into Republican politics, thereby alienating those who are of a different "political" persuasion from being impacted by the ministry of his church.
Hard to imagine the method Jesus would choose to change things, but surely not by campaigning for one political party as opposed to another.
